The İstanbul race, which was also the second leg of the 2004 championship, was won by Alparslan Ozantürk (1/10 Gas Onroad), Bünyamin Güler (1/10 Nitro Parking Lot), Tolga Şengül (1/10 Electric Parking Lot), and Bülent Toker (1/5 Nitro Parking Lot). The winners of this race, which also counts for the Turkish championship consisting of four legs and subject to Formula 1 rules, were announced Turkish champions in their respective class.

At this second race of the Bosch Cup 2004, organized by Bosch Automotive in cooperation with the Turkish Model Car Sports Society, there was fierce competition from 61 drivers with a total of 121 cars, hailing from Ankara, İstanbul, Bursa and İzmir. Different from last year, the Bosch Cup 2004 races in Ankara and İstanbul also included the class of 1/5 scale Nitro Parking Lot cars, which are made only in Turkey.

At the first leg of the Bosch Cup, which was held in July at the model race track in Gölbaşı ( Ankara ), 65 drivers had participated with 144 cars. In the Ankara leg of the championship, the class winners of the day were Alparslan Ozantürk (1/10 Gas Onroad), Bünyamin Güler (1/10 Nitro Parking Lot), Sarp Mamıkoğlu (1/10 Electric Parking Lot) and Bülent Toker (1/5 Nitro Parking Lot).

The second race of the championship took place on Sunday, 26 September 2004, at the İstanbul Autodrom track. The place-winning racers in the individual classes were not only awarded their trophies, but also took home a variety of prizes put up by Bosch, such as refrigerators, kitchen ranges, and vacuum cleaners.
