Fingerprint identification
BIO-code instead of PIN-code: A new security system uses the characteristics of a fingerprint to make unauthorised access to high security areas even more difficult.

Double security

The new control system from Bosch ensures double security: Identification is always carried out by two systems. The first reads the data on a 'Mifare' ID card, which includes a coded digital image of the card holder's fingerprint. The fingerprint scanner recognises the person's fingerprint and compares the data saved on the ID card with the scanned fingerprint to determine the person's identity. The central computer checks whether that person is authorised to enter the area and releases the door if the result is positive.

Since every fingerprint is unique, this method guarantees even greater security in ascertaining the identity and access authorisation of a particular person.

Secure access control
The door only opens if the data on the ID card match the fingerprint.
