A laser beam on the machine designates the path of the cut. When the laser beam is aligned with the guard and the cutting path shown during cutting, the cut is executed with no deviation from the designated line.

In situations such as the need to change the thickness of the saw blade, the laser beam can easily be readjusted at any time with the help of the centering aid.

The mains power laser is categorized as Laser Class Two, allowing the user to work without protective goggles.

With the air-blower function, the user can work more easily, blowing chips out of the cutting path with the mere touch of a button.

The saw blade repository at the base of the machine keeps up to four standard blades ready for immediate use.

The SDS quick blade change system, familiar from all Bosch jigsaws, also saves time. A push of a lever is all it takes to change a saw blade; the blade falls out by itself. The new blade is easy to mount in fixture, and the saw is once again ready to use.

A plexiglass window prevents accidental contact with the saw blade. A shop or home model vacuum cleaner can be attached to the rear end of the saw to collect the chips.

With the plastic-coated handle, the new machine body assures no-hassle, vibration-free work.

The on-off switch is integrated into the handle.

This switch features a safety lock to prevent the machine being turned on accidentally. Another extremely practical feature is that the on-off switch can be used with the thumb from either side – thus the machine is equally convenient for left- or right-handed users.
